A personal note: the shamanism of the Q'ero Indians has always held a warm place in my heart. While I was initially taught the principles of shamanism through a Toltec viewpoint (with some Celtic Druidism thrown into the mix), back in around 2003, I attended a talk and workshop with Juan Núñez del Prado and was captivated by the knowledge he shared and the feelings it invoked in me. Because it was the angelic star beings in my life that quite literally led me to the Munay-Ki Rites at this time, I suspect I have been initiated in a similar way in some past life - likely Inca - that I can't remember. Who knows - the only thing I'm certain of is that I have led an Inca life before. Either way, I hold a great passion in sharing these initiatory ceremonies. They feel familiar in many ways as do aspects of some other Q'ero ceremonies I've delved into. But they also feel like we (the Initiates) are closing a cycle begun a long, long time ago, and finally birthing a new one.
