Spiritual Attunements (and the Role of Intuition)

Spirit (or "Great Spirit" - I use the term to encompass the Conscious Source of All) is waiting to help us in the Otherworld, and when we travel there, we will meet many beings of all kinds. The first hurdle is, that if we don't have intuition, or are not skilled in using it, we will have no idea when we are being "called" to work with them, or to receive their support.

Having publicly announced (both in this world and the Otherworld) that I'm walking in these realms again, I received a call from Spirit today. How does this manifest? In more ways than one way:

1. first, there's a sense of just "knowing" (this is my intuition kicking in), but I don't get a knowing about many things all the time, so when I do get it, I can tell it's important to listen to it;
2. secondly, there's a sense of urgency - this is a result of their call. I always feel duty-bound to answer it, that's what the urgency is, like when I know I have to be home by a certain time or my parents will freak out and worry - that urgency pulls on your heart. It exists because of "duty of service";
3. thirdly, I usually get physical sensations, like prickles on the back of my neck, or the centres of my palms will buzz with heat; sometimes the centre of my forehead with tingle - it manifests differently each time, but it "feels" Otherwordly, and you know it is because it's combined with points one and two above.

That is what intuition can give you - access to Spirit - and it's why I've chosen to have it as the focus for my courses. If we can all have this kind of access, we can step into our power as enlightened beings. I'm not into "gurus", but we can all learn to become our own guru and master our lives.

I've decided to share with you what happened when I was called tonight. I actually asked if it was all right for me to share it, and "they" said it was up to me:

I received the call at around 22:45. I wasn't expecting it at all, but I knew it for what it was, and it had been a long time since I'd been contacted by Spirit in this way. I was told I needed to be ready for them at midnight. (By the way, these instructions appear as messages in my head. It's a bit like having thoughts, but they feel a bit different to my own thoughts, and come in a bit quicker than most of my thoughts.)

I had no idea what they wanted, but my suspicion was to talk to me and give me instructions about what should happen next with my new spiritual commitment. I put out a note on the Facebook page asking if anyone wanted me to ask Spirit anything because sometimes you can do that when you get a call - you can relay messages and prayers if they're open to that (sometimes they're not).

No one needed me to do this, and it turned out to be a good thing because I hadn't been called to sit and listen to their instructions after all - I'd been called to receive an Attunement. I didn't know this until after I'd sat down with the Atlantean quartz crystal in my hand that I'd found a week ago. (Again, it was intuition that told me I needed to sit with this crystal as I made contact with them.)

I said the words I needed to say in affirmation of my presence and to open the gateway of communication, and BAM - my whole skull lit up. Not literally, or course, but it felt like all my hairs were standing on end and like my skull was being stretched. Straight away, I got it - I knew this was an Attunement. I've had a few initiations from Spirit before, but I can't recall if I've ever had an Attunement without guidance and support from other people in a group setting - not as a solitary witch, or lone warrior, I'm sure.

So, in some ways, this felt like a small rite of passage. The Attunement lasted fifteen minutes, and I have a very specific guide assigned to me now, which feels quite wonderful because I haven't had a specific guide for a very long time. She's a female with a healer-warrior energy about her. She's extremely tall (maybe as tall as twenty feet!) and wears a grey habit like she's a nun of some kind. She has incredible goddess energy. I have no idea who she is, but I sense she's here for a while - a few years at least. She's the one who gave me the Attunement, although there were others there, too, as witnesses and to form energetic support, and perhaps for other reasons I don't know.

During the Attunement, I absorbed the information held in the Atlantean crystal - this was not a conscious thing on my part, it just happened, and I don't yet know whether that was part of the Attunement, or whether the information in the crystal is a separate thing. It could be days, weeks, or years before I find out, but one day, it will become clear.

How do I feel right now? Like I'd like to go to bed, actually. I feel full of new things I don't yet know, but quite tired from that little process. I need time to absorb it. So, goodnight, all.

I wanted to share the above mainly to demonstrate that none of that would have taken place without my having intuition to understand what was happening in the first place. Even if you don't understand it, intuition will still lead the way, and rarely take you down the wrong path.

I also wanted to share some of what can be expected of you in my upcoming course Meet Your Spirit Guide: visualisation and meditation exercises. The more you do them, the more something like the above will become second nature to you, and I think we are all in a place in the world where we need to connect - whether to Spirit, or simply to each other - using both heart and mind.

It used to be Elders that gave us (through channeling Spirit) our Attunements, but that time is gone - we now need to do this for ourselves.
