A healer does not heal you.
A healer holds the sacred space for you to heal yourself.
Don't you know how powerful you are?
A healer facilitates your own healing by opening a channel in which your body can receive vital energy, and then...
Your body knows what to do.
Because its natural response is to heal itself.
The healer guides your mind to silence, allowing your body to take the lead.
A healer can direct your body's own energy, reminding it of what it needs to do, and then your body will do it all on its own.
Allow it to.
You are powerful.
A healer does not heal you.
A healer holds the sacred space for you to heal yourself.

Anyone can read cards, and you can start right here. Take a look at the spread above, and then at the meaning of each position below. This is a four-card spread I created for use with ANY tarot or oracle card deck, and it is a specific spread for unexpected events on your path - moments when you go, "Oh, wow - I didn't see that coming. What now?"
To this end, I recommend you don't use this spread daily, but for times when sudden change enters your life (big or small).
Card 1: You and your present surroundings - your current emotional and mental outlook on life and what you are (or were) heading towards before the wolf jumped out.
Card 2: The wolf in your path. What now obstructs you, or crosses you with good fortune? This card represents the thing that caused the change or unexpected event, as well as its underlying meaning, and what it can bring your way for better or worse.
Card 3: What you must do now. This card is about what you have to do now that the change has occurred into order to move on to the clearing further up the path. It's the action you must take, or the frame of mind you must foster.
Card 4: The clearing. Your goal, or your new goal. The outcome. This is where you're headed now that the change or event has taken place, and if you action what you need to in card 3. If a more negative card seems to fall here, don't lose heart. Remember that challenges in life are transient, and every challenge offers a chance for growth.
If you are new to reading cards, you should have received a small instruction booklet with the deck of cards you have. As you're learning to develop the meaning of each card, it is perfectly acceptable to conduct this spread with the meanings given in the booklet - they might be brief, but they can still be relevant. Just go for it.
Example (brief) reading using the cards pictured above:
(Card 1 - The Sacrifice / The Hanged Man)
You have had to recently change your perspective and hang yourself out to dry as it were, potentially putting yourself in the firing line of others' judgements. It's okay, this was for your own growth and you are, or will soon be better for it. You had every intention of being patient and sticking it out, but....
(Warrior of the Pentacle / Knight of Pentacles)
You got an unexpected message about (loss or gain of / movement of) finances and it's thrown you in a tizz. You now need to take action to make things happen and this might mean pulling yourself out of this different perspective you've spent so long cultivating - it's gotten you anxious and confused you a little. But don't fear, because...
(The Crown of the Magi / The World)
The world is at your feet and you're about to reach a huge completion with something which will include good fortune coming your way - one you've thoroughly earned - so go through the challenge just a little longer - keep strong and stand your ground.
(The Dazzling Light / The Sun)
Abundance of the highest order is around the corner if you stick this out - it's family related - it may even be to do with a child, or with inheritance. This is an incredibly fortunate card - everything you've worked for is coming to fruition. Trust. Don't be disturbed by the "wolf" that jumped into your path - it actually brings good news in disguise. You are heading for great things!
I offer The Wolf in My Path card reading (using various decks) HERE.
In shamanic traditions, death is a natural cycle of life, allowing for grief, but also for joy in a loved one's presence and contribution to the community, and also what they will continue to contribute, via the spirit world, in their altered physical state beyond death.
On death, a soul is released to the forces of nature, either within Mother Earth, or to Father Sky and the stars themselves. Rites would be performed by the shaman of the village to prepare the body and soul of the one passing, and then a ritual and ceremony would be performed by the entire village to honour the passing of their loved one.
The "funeral" is the death rite of the modern western world. In current times, due to the coronavirus pandemic, many of us are unable to be with our loved ones at the point of death, and we are not allowed to hold our usual funerals for them.
It's incredibly important for the soul departing, and also the souls staying, that these rites are done so we can "complete" the death process and release our grief and our joy for their journey. You do not have to be a shaman or a vicar - we are all masters of ourselves and we can connect to our guiding Source (Great Spirit / God / All That Is) whenever we wish, and we can do so, also, to perform these rites.
Below, I've written a simplified version of a Death Rite that anyone can do at home to honour their loved one and help to release them to their next adventure. You can also download it in PDF format if you wish. The Rites include a simple and optional visualisation process involving the seven main chakras of the energy body. (Note: the chakra sheet you can download below I wrote for another workshop and is perhaps a little detailed - the important bit to note for this rite is simply the colours and positions of the chakras.)
Simple Death Rite
This can be done alone or with family and friends. It can be performed after a person has died, or even before a person dies (if you know they are going to) to prepare them and yourself for the journey.
Before you start, set up an altar (a small table) in a place in your house or garden that you consider to be peaceful and calm. This altar will symbolise the person(s) you are honouring, with one (or more) candle in the middle that will symbolise their spirit and their soul's light. Decorate the altar with anything you like that you feel represents those you are passing or have passed.
When you are ready to begin the rite take yourself to the altar. Do whatever you usually do to create your sacred space, whether it is to use a clearing spray, burn oils, smudge, or call in the four directions. If you do not have a specific method, you can imagine a bright, white or gold light moving up from the core of Mother Earth at your request, through your space, and removing all toxic or negative energies as it disappears upwards into the ether.
If you like, you can call in your spirit guide or guardian angel at this point to be with you and offer you support and comfort.
Say, "Dear Great Spirit / God / Creation / All That Is (or any term you usually use for any deity or Living Consciousness), I/we are here before you to honour the natural cycles of life and death and we ask for your guidance in doing so."
Light your candle(s) and say, "I/We light this candle/these candles for (names of those you are releasing) in love and with thanks for all they have taught me/us and given me/us."
Stand back, close your eyes, and feel yourself in your body as you breathe in and out. Then open your eyes and focus on the flame. As you look at the flame, imagine this person(s) in your mind and take it in turns to say out loud anything you'd like to say to them now - any thanks you'd like to give, or any memories you'd like to share.
This will not apply to everyone, and while it may seem controversial, you can even speak of any anger or resentment you would like to release for things they have aggravated within you, as sometimes this needs to be done, too, in order to release a soul, and yourself from their soul. This aspect is usually best done alone, or with family/friends you know will not be hurt by your words. You may even want to do this before the rite as a way to release any of the more negative feelings from your system before beginning the rite. If you choose to do it now, as part of the rite, it is important that you END as above, with words of thanks and gratitude.
THIS PART BELOW WITH THE CHAKRAS IS OPTIONAL - IT IS OFFERED FOR THOSE WHO FEEL CONFIDENT IN ENERGY WORK.
Now return to the image in your mind of the one you are releasing, and visualise them with the seven chakras shining brightly along their central column. This part can be done quietly or out loud, and you will have to do it in turn for each person if this is a "joint funeral" and everyone taking part can visualise this:
Reach out in your mind, starting with the base (red) chakra, and say, "Thank you for the foundations you have taught me." And then (in your mind or with your actions) reach out with your hand and turn their base chakra, once, anti-clockwise as if your are loosening a nut from a screw. Do the same with all seven chakras in this order:
Base Chakra - "Thank you for the foundations you have taught me." (Turn it anti-clockwise.)
Sacral Chakra - "Thank you for the expression and community you have taught me." (Turn it anti-clockwise.)
Solar Plexus Chakra - "Thank you for the boundaries and empowerment you have taught me." (Turn it anti-clockwise.)
Throat Chakra - "Thank you for the creativity and communication you have taught me." (Turn it anti-clockwise.)
Third Eye Chakra - "Thank you for the imagination and the wider world you have taught me." (Turn it anti-clockwise.)
Crown Chakra - "Thank you for the reason and wisdom you have taught me." (Turn it anti-clockwise.)
Heart Chakra - "Thank you for the self love and love for All that you have taught me." (Turn it anti-clockwise.)
On the last one, the Heart Chakra, feel their spirit easily detach from their physical body and fly free in joy. If you wish, you can say, "I/We release (name of person) into the hands of Great Spirit / God / Creation / All That Is (or any term you usually use for any deity or Living Consciousness) to follow their new path in peace."
END OF THE OPTIONAL CHAKRA WORK.
Take a moment to say goodbye in your heart.
You can now "close" your space any way you wish, say thanks to all spirits present, and blow out the candle(s) whenever you are ready.
Do not worry you are doing the above "wrong" - you cannot do it wrong. The person leaving is being guided by their own spirit guides and angels as they release from their attachments on earth; you do not need to worry about that. What you are doing is helping the process be ten times easier at their end and yours, while providing everyone with closure, and it is work that is gratefully received by Spirit - more than you might know.

First, please understand I feel deeply for everyone affected by the new coronavirus and it is devastating to lose those we love at any time, whether to Covid-19 or something else. I have personal experience of losing those I love. But this blog and website has always ventured into what's beyond life and death (death not being the end). It has always dealt with soul evolution and becoming more than what we are, and it is from this eagle-eye, spiritual perspective that I write this article.
I've already talked about how the Earth Shift is, first and foremost, a shift in consciousness. It is a shift in how we perceive and interact with the world, which will further down the line lead to a change in our global reality.
Right now, in the midst of the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak across the world, it could be said that we are in a fourth dimensional state of consciousness. Because structures have quite literally broken down (economically and socially), and time is fluid (no work or different work for many, and no school), we are no longer in a third dimensional reality and this change is leaping us forward into an incredible evolution of mental, emotional, and spiritual expansion. This isn't happening to just one country or one part of the world - it is happening everywhere. The world will never be the same again because there is no way we can come out of it unchanged. And we will have to make changes to the way we live going forward, for the sake of both us and the planet itself. How that all plays out remains to be seen, but you create your reality and your future from now. Not from tomorrow or by guessing what will happen, but from right now. This 'now moment' is what great meditators always talk about: being in the now. It is for this exact kind of situation - so you can create your future from the now, for the highest good of all.
So, I've laid out some suggestions below to keep your vibrations as high as possible and your focus on the highest good. As always, only take what resonates with you and let the rest go. Some of what follows might seem obvious and simple, but as witnessed around us, many people are acting in ways we might not have expected, so there's no harm in repeating them. Remember, the aim is ascension of consciousness - no matter how that looks in physical reality (in fact, you would be wise to let go of physical reality at this point - let structure go).
Those are the best six steps I can think of to keep your focus and signature frequency high. Of course if you have other steps that are working, stick with those (or do share them in the comments). These ones are working for me which is why I'm sharing them with you.
Lastly, don't be scared. I know that seems like a tall order, and we've all had wobbles and feelings of anxiety, myself included. But don't be scared. If you just stand back and look at what's happening, it's quite amazing - what a feat! We are doing it! We are expanding our consciousness as a whole earth and moving to the next stage of evolution. That's a hell of a thing. Predicted, yes, but now it's here - wow. Strength will be needed, but we would not have manifested this situation if we did not have the strength to see it through, whatever happens at the other end.
I personally feel (and was told around October/November last year through channeling) that there is "no going back now". This is a good thing - it truly is - because we also could not carry on the way we were with a tumultuous and decimating climate (already throwing so many warnings our way) and countless suffering around the world due to greed and power. It was time for change. And change is here. Embrace it. And aim HIGH.
Peace to all.

It seems to me that fear is up at the moment. People sense change and either do their best to ignore it, or start projecting what they fear about it. Change is normal. Cycles are natural. Sometimes structures need to come tumbling down. Things are as they should be - although that does not mean we should not strive to make them better. Always strive to make things better.
Election time is looming in the US and UK. Do what you must about that, but don't get caught up in the drama (it really is drama and purposely fear-provoking). Floods and fires are taking place across the globe. It might be happening on your doorstep. Be kind and lend a hand to those who need it if you can. Be vigilant and safe. But do not fall into the trap of focusing on the fear. Look beyond what you see to greater things and possibilities.
Fear, fear, fear. Fear always comes from you. It is your response to triggers (an unafraid soul knows no trigger). It lives in the heart of the beholder. No one can actually instil fear in you - fear comes from you. I find this a security, personally. It's a huge comfort to know I can manage myself at any given time and take responsibility for all my emotions and actions, even in challenging circumstances. (No one's saying it's easy, by the way, although it can be as easy as you'd like it to be.)
You are an immortal being who travels through dimensions and realities at will. (Since you are on a site about angels and spiritual matters, I'm assuming you're familiar with this concept, even if you don't align with it. If you are not familiar, welcome to a whole other way of living. Bashar talks about this in a very relatable way.) Every second of every day you are shifting through realities, choosing the perspective you want to live with and live in - choosing the world you want to be (yes, be, for you are all the world, just as all the world is you). Choosing what you want to experience. So really ... what is there to be afraid of? Death? You're already dead in some respects - you are immortal, having a mortal experience. You are in heaven dreaming your earthly existence, thinking it's real because you have forgotten you're asleep. Pain? Pain is resistance to a process - sometimes necessary, but once we accept the pain is necessary, we are no longer resisting the process and the pain will ease. Change? Everything changes - it's the only constant. To be afraid of something that is the only constant is nonsensical and will not serve you.
What else do people fear? The list is endless: Loneliness, being friendless, not having children, having children, making mistakes, hurting others, being hated or despised, being wrongly accused, being imprisoned, abducted, hurt or violated. We fear being wrong, we fear being right. We fear failure and success in equal measures. We fear losing our loved ones; we fear losing our memory or intelligence, losing our health, becoming an invalid (and without validity). Mostly, we fear the idea of all those things. These things happen - of course they do. So do wonderful, amazing things, and often, the wonderful, amazing things come as a result of the horrible, nasty things - with a bit of effort and transformation.
Don't deride your fear - thank it for showing you what you need to work on - recognise it and acknowledge it, but do work on it. Work to transform the fear out of existence once and for all because the only thing to fear is fear itself. Fear will hold you back from everything. Fear tries to arrest the natural flow of your life, and your reunion with the Source of who you are. Fear stops you realising your role as the co-creator of the world.
Yet, fears are valid in the third dimension (and fourth dimension), because they teach you how to work through shadow, which is a must if you want to raise your vibrational frequency of living. Fears become frightening when we deny them - they'll just get bigger. They are there for a reason. They are the soulmate teaching you a hard lesson. Befriend your fear; love your fear; then let it go - say goodbye for good - and watch yourself become free of its grasp as you rise to the next level of being.
Lastly, don't feed your fear. Remove yourself from its food - TV, social media , negative people - and anything that tries to bring down your vibrational shift and ways of thinking. If you cannot remove yourself from those things, you're going to have be extra-aware, and try extra-hard not to feed your fears with them. Watch your words and your mental script:
"Why does this always happen to me?"
"I hate this about life." (Hate is an awful word to keep saying - why say it?)
"I'm the unlucky one."
"Everyone always has it better than me."
"They're so lucky."
And countless other phrases - think about them. Think about what you're saying to yourself. Think about how you're treating yourself. Would you say the above to others? Let's see....
"Why does this always happen to you?"
"I hate this about your life."
"You're the unlucky one."
"Everyone always has it better than you."
"They're so much luckier than you."
Treat yourself better. You may even find that most of your fears disappear with a change in script - that's all it takes sometimes. A change in thought; a change in consciousness.
If you want to change the world for the better - this is how you do it. You start with your world. You.

From the Oracle of Delphi, also known as The Pythia, (note word associations: The Pythia / Python / Snake Medicine/ Hidden Wisdom) to The Nechung Oracle (Oracle to the Dalai Lama), divination has always been a skill or gift of the "divine nation" (a nation of those connected to Source, God, angels, or some ethereal being) in order to navigate the murky waters of three-dimensional life where vision is not clear and true light is often hard to find.
Personally, I believe we were given divination as a gift to manage ourselves better amid the chaotic throng of collective free will.
Divination obviously does not and cannot take away free will - nor should it - but, if used in a predictive way, it allows one to see what is most likely to come about so it can be avoided or dealt with in an appropriate manner. "Appropriate" is up for interpretation due to that pesky free will - you can either deal with things in a manner that serves the highest good of all, or you can deal with things in a selfish, fearful, or angry way. Our free will is never arrested, and as a diviner, it's really not my job to tell you how to use free will - I just give you the info. I encourage the path of the highest good, though - this is the path that changes the whole world for the better and it would go against my own integrity not to encourage it.
Recently, I have truly rekindled my love of divination and my ability to "see", with a thorough reacquaintance of the Tarot and the creation of my own Lenormand deck which is proving so invaluable to me on a personal level that I have come to see it as a tool for 3D Life Management (something I sometimes suck at since I'm much more comfortable in the Otherworld than I am in this one). Lenormand is proving to be a confidence booster, an anxiety banisher, and an instrument that simply allows me to be "me" without guilt over all my capabilities. We are so often bullied into diminishing our value and strengths in this world. Lenormand says 'no' to that!
Of course, the above is how I, personally, choose to use divination in my own life - there are many ways to use it. Nowadays, Tarot can be "Tarot therapy". You can meditate with the cards, go on the shamanic journeys they offer, use them to invite Law of Attraction, use them for sorcery, ceremony, and summoning, converse with spirits in the form of mediumship, and so on. The list is endless. They are, after all, just the tool. The skill of using the tool is in you.
For me, divination offers direct access to Source/God/Spirit/angels for comfort, mediation, my vocation (in conjunction with the Otherworld), and life planning (this life and the next, as well as access to past lives). It also gives me access to various beings who need to communicate to various people here.
It's a joy and a pleasure to be an oracle and scribe; to be a communications coordinator (one of my previous job titles, ironically) for the divine. Communication and expression have always been my thing. Divination suits what I am, and what I do, even when I'm not divining.
I am currently experiencing a beautiful homecoming.

Tarot, Lenormand, Kipper, Oracle Deck.... none of these have power on their own - they are tools. The power comes from you and how you use them, which is why every cartomancer is different. I choose to use all of my tools to further everyone’s journey through shadow into light. Soul evolution. Ascension of the spirit.
I’ve always been a visual, artistic and creative person, and I’ve always loved stories - I think that’s where my connection with tarot came from. The artistry + story (and mysterious origins) = match made in heaven. Add to that, it allowed me to connect with spirits in the Otherworld and my own guides, and what else could a witchy girl ask for?
My love of tarot has recently been rekindled by angelic communication, and revisiting shamanism (including shamanism practiced in past lives), and realising from a deep, instinctive level (rather than logical), that all systems and tools are connected, and have always been connected - for thousands of years and since ancient civilisations. All of it is JUST ENERGY. Some of it is conscious energy and some of it isn't. Our personal sorcery is how we work with and utilise all energies.
More recently, I’ve been enjoying connecting to angels without the cards - just talking to them and listening to their replies. Chatting to old friends - that’s what it feels like. It’s a wonderful feeling to connect to those who want to help you from the other side.
Divination is a beautiful thing because it can be used as a tool for personal guidance and empowerment. Some people don’t like the predictive element, but as long as we’re aware we’re always in control (we really are), then of course we’re allowed to be aware of the potential pitfalls ahead of us. Most of us actually already are - we already sense when something is about to happen. (How many times have we said, “I knew it! I just knew it!” after the event?) Tarot just shines a light on it so you can at the very least handle it the best way possible, even if it can’t be avoided. I always loved that it confirmed my gut instincts about things that then often did play out - it made me feel assured and less alone in my psychic wanderings. It allowed me to take responsibility and act on my instincts. Strange, isn’t it, that in this existence, we need to give ourselves permission to act on our instincts.
If you’re very truthful with yourself, tarot rarely tells you things you don’t already know or sense. It usually confirms things, and sometimes offers a different perspective on the situation, and guides you on how to move forward. It’s like going to a counsellor...

One of the states that monks and great meditators try to reach is that point of stillness where your mind is finally silent and you are not in the past or the future, but completely in "the now". You don't have to be a monk or a meditator to know this pivotal moment I am talking about. Athletes are very good at being in the now, as are actors, and artists of all kinds, and inventors who corporealise new ideas for us all. They are connected in that moment.
The power of now is crucial for connection to Source, and thus, manifesting reality with awareness - this is because all of time is actually contained in the now. When in the spiritual realms - the Otherworld - time is not linear at all, but all timelines are simultaneously taking place now and only now, and when you reach that place of stillness, all time stops. You then sit amid the freeze-frame of creation where you can see All Things, and you can then reach in and change the parts of your reality you'd like to change (or score that goal, write that book, paint that picture, create that machine).
One of the ways to ride the now-waves of creation is to realise you can change your story any time you like. In this way, you are the author always writing and re-writing your script, and the author never does this from the past or the future - it can only be done from the point of the present. The art of writing fiction (creation) is actually quite meditative, I have always found; and always pulls my focus into the present while channeling ideas from above. See your life as a story - as fiction that you can change into the story you actually want.
Most people don't let themselves believe they can change their story at will. Once you've settled into that life, that routine, that job, that family, that amount of money earned, and all those responsibilities, they become your cemented his-story and you think you have to play the role you've created for yourself (whether you realise you've created that role or not). What's that saying we often use to bind ourselves? You've made your bed, now lie in it.
You don't have to - you really don't.
Without a doubt all changes to your life should be conducted with integrity and with love - be mindful of how others will feel the effects of your plot changes - but do you want to keep writing yourself into that bed even though the mattress is lumpy and filthy, the springs dig into you, the headboard always creaks, and you're getting back ache every morning? Just because it seemed like a good purchase at the time?
Things change. You can, too.
In the shamanic philosophies I trained in, part of the warrior's journey (or the hero's journey) is to always shed his (or her) skin. Always. To do so is to ride on the surge of creation and be ready to manifest at will because the warrior is adaptable; always able to ride into the proverbial battle of life because he is writing and re-writing his story at every moment, never trapping himself with his-story, but releasing all endings to the wind, and defending no new beginnings because he has no history to defend.
I used to be frightened at the thought of amnesia. I told one of my spiritual teachers this once, and he said, "Why? Why on earth are you scared of amnesia when it's one of the greatest gifts you could receive?"
"It is?" I asked, bewildered.
"Yes!" he replied. "How many people get the chance to have their slate wiped clean with no effort needed, no regrets and no need for guilt; with no burdens to carry and only the next chapter to write however they choose to do so?"
This sank in, and altered my perception of amnesia for good.
More recently, I went to visit my grandmother who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She has memories of certain episodes of her own life in the distant past, but not really any memory of the people in her life, nor of the recent past - nor of me. She was someone who was always very concerned with "the state of the world", from politics, to war, to extreme weather, and so on - a naturally anxious and perhaps pessimistic person in some ways. When I went to visit her though, seeing her for the first time with "no memory", I can say, she has never been happier. She was HAPPY. Always smiling. No burdens, no cares - yes, an awareness she couldn't remember anything, including family, but that seemed a relief to her in some ways.
Now, I'm not saying, Yey, Alzheimer's rocks - let's all go get Alzheimer's. I'm well aware many find it devastating, have outbursts of anger, and feel despair at their condition in the flashes of awareness they have of their "old self", and so on. What I'm saying is flip the script. Flip the script for everything. Challenge yourself to constantly see life and all events in a different way. Change your perspective of how something is and realise it was only that way because you believed it had to be.
My grandmother had shed her skin and re-written her story, albeit not on purpose. Not consciously. A shamanic or spiritual warrior would seek to do this consciously and to always live in this state - with full memory retained, of course - never shedding his responsibilities, but understanding that he commands his duties more expertly when he wears the right skin made for the moment of now ... and now ... and now ... and now.
As evolving humans, we are the result of the survival of the most adaptable.
You don't need to wait for some apocalypse to become this adaptable version of yourself - you can start right now.

Between May 2001 and May 2003, I immersed myself in shamanic training and magical ways of seeing the world, which turned out were not 'magical' at all, but normal for me - in essence, I had found a small piece of home in shamanism.
These were the days before I owned a computer and the internet as we know it did not exist. I found my shamanic course in a Pagan magazine in a small corner shop that sold hemp pipes and tarot cards, down a quiet side road, and was amazed to find there was a man offering workshops in exactly what I was looking for, just an hour from where I lived.
We camped out under stars, in the sunshine, in the snow, we built a temporary home from the flexible trunks and branches of young hazel trees, and we talked about things the 'real' world thought of as magic, but what we all knew was simply another reality because we had experienced it as such in various ways.
In those two years, I learnt a lot, re-membered a lot, and not all of it was pleasant. But there were four fundamental lessons that sunk in deep with me and altered my way of thinking and living forever:
This was before the original 'Law of Attraction' book was published and became mainstream - this was (is) part of shamanic philosophy.
These four philosophies meant something to me. They made sense. I could see how they worked even in the darkest times. I could see how I might be able to utilise them in moments of deep despair to better myself.
The seed of realisation grew from that point. I stopped feeling like things had been "done" to me in life (no matter what happened) and I started to focus on what I could and should take responsibility for: my actions, my reactions, my hopes, my fears.... I started to see life a different way and understood how energy and thought worked - I started to see my influence using energy and thought in my immediate surroundings and I understood how powerful I really was - how empowered we could all be.
By taking responsibility for my life, I was letting no one else rule it but me. No matter any bad thing that happened, I still had the power to change the outcome to what I wanted it to be.
Of course, sometimes this was excruciatingly hard. Sometimes, it took years to change a way of thinking about a particular thing because I could not let go of my attachment to it; because I did not like that I was actually responsible for feeling the way I did about it. And sometimes, your issues involve other people that are hard to physically detach from. But in the end, I stuck with those four point, and even if it took years, I overcame.
I don't claim that this way of thinking is for everyone. But if people ask me, "how can I manifest the life I want?", this is how I began to do it. It was hard. It took (and still takes) WORK. EFFORT. MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL TRAINING. It has to come from within - there is no other way. You have the little epiphany moment and you grow from there; little sparks of realisation that fuel the next.
But I have found it works. I have manifested the life I want and continue to do so. Many will tell you it's luck; good fortune; not you at all. Detach from that rhetoric - they have no idea what's inside and the hard work you put in. They are projecting their own vision, that's all. Opportunities have never been propelled by "luck" in my world - they are a manifestation of my energies and joint energies with others.
I still have some ways to go, and the political and social climate is testing strength and clarity of emotion and mind for many people, myself included - I have my down days. The above four philosophies are my tools for living and forms a process that never really ends until you do actually ascend or become 'enlightened' (in which case, you don't really need to be here in this incarnation any more).
If you spend time with people who do not think in a like-minded way, you will find yourself slipping back into negative patterns and personality traits you just don't want or need - try to avoid this. It is an unfortunate fact that in order to really live the life you want, you have to detach from those who hold you back and pull you down (much of the time they do this unintentionally) unless you can actually master your emotional detachment and strength of thought around them. Aim for the latter, but be aware you may have to take time out and do the former every now and then.
Lastly, remember to laugh - at life and at yourself (this does not mean be cruel to yourself - avoid cruel people, please - some people hide jealous and bitter streaks in the guise of sarcasm and joking, poking fun at you and then saying it's just teasing, etc). Find humour in dark places. Find fun in boredom. So much easier said than done, but the one thing that good-intentioned laughter does is lifts you - it send your vibrations soaring higher, and then you find it easier to change your frame of mind into what you need it to be.
You can manifest anything so much easier when your vibration is high and you feel light 😊

Earth Shift as of 31st March, 2020 - A Perspective.
My very first memory is of being just under one year old, and led through a crystal cave full of stalagmites and stalactites by my mum (I had only just learnt to walk). This was in Portugal. Having spoken to my uncle, the cave might have been Grutas de Mira de Aire. On the right, on the cave wall, there was a rope that ran the length of it. I asked her what it was there for. She said it was in case the lights went out and people needed something to hold on to help them walk in the dark. I then asked her what the red, rectangular box was, also on the wall of the cave above the rope. She replied it was an alarm in case of a fire.
We continued on to the centre of the cave, and there lay Snow White carved out of ice, lying in her glass coffin. It was beautiful. I knew the story of Snow White - I knew she was dead, but waiting for love to bring her back to life.
I have always known that I was shown this by Spirit, and remembered this memory, for an important reason.
Snow White also happened to be the first film I ever saw at the cinema when I was three. (Perhaps my mum really loved Snow White!) It was another memory that stuck with me - particularly the scene where the witch creates her poisoned apples and they shone and sparkled red.
Less than a year later, the world 'apple' would lead me to a humiliating, silencing punishment at the Chinese school I went to (still three years old). The painfully shy girl to my right was being picked on by the teacher to answer a question. She was so shy, she did not want to speak, even though I knew she knew the answer. (The answer, by the way, was 'apple'.) I prayed for her to say it, "Apple, apple, apple," I whispered to her across our desks. But she went red and said nothing, and I knew she would get punished for it. I was also getting told off for my whispers, and I suddenly had the bright idea that only a three-year-old could have. "If I keep whispering and get told off instead, they'll leave her alone." Which seemed fair enough to me because she didn't deserve to be punished for an answer she knew just because she was too shy to speak. I knew the punishment would be a rap on the knuckles and me taken to the front of the class where I would be made an example of by having my mouth taped up. Fine. I was prepared. What transpired though, I didn't foresee. They took both of us to the front of the class, and the girl I'd tried so hard to protect had her mouth taped up, too. The guilt I felt was astronomical. I was branded with a lesson I have tried to undo my whole life: when I live my truth, others get hurt. (Apple, apple, apple....)
Moving on ... there were so many dreams. I spend most of my childhood journeying in dreams and talking to my spirit guide. The Otherworld was where everything made sense, and where I found home away from my awake-world home. I remember purposely leaving my body just before falling "asleep" (I knew how to do this) and off I would go.
About every four years, I would have the same dream: I'm standing on the white sands of a tropical beach, and over the sea on the horizon, a storm begins to brew. The sky goes dark. Sometimes, the storm takes the form of a cyclone, and sometimes a hurricane. In any case, a tsunami is created and the hugest wave from which there is no escape comes hurtling to shore. I am with someone, but I don't know who - a friend. And although I know it's the end, I also know there is no end. All I feel is a swell of love and joy that rises up through me, and that's how the dream ends.
I believe, we, as a human race, have entered a pivotal time in the history of our collective consciousness. This is what the earth shift is. It is an awakening through understanding, through a breaking of belief, and a reclaiming of true power. It has been driven by digital, global communication, allowing us to see world events and smaller, personal events from many perspectives at once, leading to an energetic fracturing as we re-align ourselves with our integrity based on these new perspectives. The material manifestation of this fracturing is, among other things, a changing climate that will do what it needs to do to see our new consciousness realised. And this is not to say that other, linear time factors are not also at play to bring our new reality to us; rather that there are many levels of reality from the physical to the celestial, and they all work together to bring about change. As above, so below.
Further down, I have gone into more detail about what the earth shift means to different people in the hope that you might find your place among the information - there is quite a bit of variation about it online and from those I speak to.
For me, it is an event I knew was coming as a small child. I felt it every time I looked at the horizon across the sea on the island I grew up in. It is my first memory, my bitten apple; it is choking the apple back up with love and finally living truth. It is my transformation, and my ocean, and my role in it all becomes more clear to me by the day, in this life and in what comes next, beyond. Just like at the end of my dream, I will go into it on a swell of love and joy, and a leap into the fifth dimension, free.
Perspectives on the Earth Shift (and Seeing Through Fear)
Type "earth shift", "5D ascension", "earth ascension", or "fifth dimension" into your Google search and you'll find yourself a lot of information about this ascension process - what it is and what it means. More confusing, some of the information will be a little different across sites and takes a lot of reading and sifting through to get to grips with what's going on. The very simple reason for the unreliable narration is that pretty much everything about this is channelled information - how can it not be? We are trying to translate and predict energy - this is, first and foremost, an energetic shift. On top of that, most people don't even align with the notion of alternate dimensions, let alone anything else you might want to throw into the mix.
But almost everyone I talk to knows something's up, even if they can't name it; even if it's little more than an abstract feeling floating around their consciousness. And even on an earth-plane level, it seems clearer and clearer we are reaching the ends of our limits with the changing climate, the economic stretches on our societies, the political disturbances, and so on.
So ... let's start with the reliable narrator (as reliable as these things can be, anyway): for thousands of years, this "shift" has been alluded to across ancient civilisations, tribes and cultures, the most famous being the end of the Mayan Calendar on 21st December, 2012 - an important cessation because the Mayans were so meticulous with their mathematics and astronomy, it's asinine to think they would have ended the calendar on that date for no reason. While some imagined the "end of the world", that was always unlikely to be the case since the world has been here for approximately 16 billion years and has undergone shifts like this before.
Many spiritual thinkers believe that at the point the Mayan calendar ended, earth entered the photon belt that orbits the Pleiades star system - an orbit that takes approximately 26,000 years to complete. Funnily enough, the precession of earth’s rotational axis (the Earth's "wobble"), also takes approximately 26,000 years to make one complete revolution.
The Hopi are well known for prophesying that our negligent plundering of the earth will lead to massive destruction for our species. They predicted the end of the Fourth World (our current world) and the beginning of the Fifth. All but one of the portents in this prediction have come to pass and the time very much does feel like 'now' for the last one to manifest. I will add, though, that I don't put too much faith in prophesies myself - I've always believed they are there to guide us into making better choices, and they "come to pass" only if we continue on our (often negative) trajectory (which we sort of have, to be fair - whoops).
I would hazard a guess that many Native American and indigenous tribes around the world might hold similar prophecies - these were rarely written, but passed down by word of mouth. This only makes sense to me, though. If I were a tribe elder (and I have been in past lives), and I witnessed a cruel invasion of my land by dispassionate strangers who cared not how the earth that fed and housed them worked, I would also foretell destruction. It would be crystal clear and completely logical to me.
Then, of course, there are ancient Sumerian, biblical, and pre-Christian prophecies to take into account which have a bit less to do with the consequences of earth-plundering and more to do with angry gods who are potentially extraterrestrials. Have fun with those - they're certainly intriguing!
Prophecies aside, there are some interesting factors that make 2019 onwards unique: the fact we're about to enter/have just entered a Solar Minimum which will increase cosmic ray activity across the earth's weakening magnetic field (thus increasing radiation levels); that the Shumann Resonance of the earth has been increasing gradually since 2017 (and spiking lots) for an indiscernible reason; and that the magnetic poles of the earth have been gradually shifting their course for a while - some predict a full pole reversal because the last one was over 750,000 years ago and we are well overdue one. If nothing else, this all opens our eyes to how microscopic we truly are amid the entire universe, the expanse of which holds more stars than there are grains of sand on our planet.
In short, quite an awful lot of elements seem to be converging into this "now" moment that makes the "earth shift" an actual thing we all should be taking note of.
So ... what is it? I'm going to get a bit more esoteric here (after all, this is a site where I talk about angels, okay?)...
First of all, and perhaps most importantly, the earth shift is a shift in consciousness. That of the earth and that of mankind. Let's start with mankind - us: our perception creates our reality. The earth and her inhabitants, including all our man-made structures and systems would not exist in this way if we had not made it so, and we did make it so - all of us. So, in order to change the world for the better, we have to change our consciousness for the better. This is a very basic level of the shift, but a necessary one from which not much else in this third dimension can spring. Now, you cannot change the collective consciousness without changing your personal consciousness - indeed, the collective consciousness is simply the sum of over 7 billion single models of consciousness combined. Changing your personal level of consciousness is all about getting in touch with who you are, who you want to be, tapping into your higher mind, your intuition, your feelings, your heart, clearing your fears, and finally - finally - learning how to live the life you were actually born to live by realising you are the creator (god) of your life trajectory. And in this dimension all of this should be done in balance with the earth, for she provides you with the strongest foundation for achieving your dreams - actual, real security. (*Yes, I have highlighted this in pink for a reason.)
Now let's look at the earth. Gaia has a consciousness herself - something that, while modern science might not recognise, quantum physics is beginning to, and our indigenous elders always knew. Gaia is a living, breathing body with cycles and needs of her own, and she wants to ascend into a higher dimension in alignment with other forces in the solar system and galaxy which also have their own cycles and needs. For her to deny this need would be for her to sink out of alignment with The Whole. So, Gaia is rising - into the fifth dimension.
The key to understanding our place in her rising is this: we are also Gaia. We are all connected and all one. As souls outside of these human bodies we would instantly feel our connection to all the life that flows along the matrices of the cosmos. In these bodies, however, having forgotten our true heritage as star beings, we view ourselves as separate from all.
Once we realise that in order to stay on this earth with Gaia we have to rise with her, the ascension process itself becomes clearer: mum wants to change location. As her children we will be given a choice: go with her to her new home, or go elsewhere. (Indeed, we are fully grown adults and should probably have "left home" a long time ago! But we forgot where we came from and aren't taught where to go, or even how to get there any more.)
If you choose to go with Gaia into the fifth dimension, you will go through the ascension process (and many of us already are). This process is specifically about moving from duality into unity. It is about creating heaven on earth. The fifth dimension does not allow unresolved fears and shadow beliefs to enter it - these things can't enter because they are of a much lower energetic vibration and you will, for want of a better phrase, energetically short-circuit if you try and carry all that into the fifth - it's all got to be cleared first. It sounds like a tall order, but it really is possible - I'm doing it right now and I know when I'm in the fifth and in the third - I'm beginning to be able to tell the difference, although currently, mostly in terms of my consciousness.
It is said that the physical body will follow the consciousness, and when the time is right, each person partaking in this process will experience a full-bodied evolution into the fifth. This has been referred to as the reactivation of our full 12-strand DNA - we currently only use 2 strands. It's also referenced as the creation of the silicon-crystalline body - the luminous body - from our current carbon-based structure and is a reason for the so-called 'ascension symptoms'. (I've had a few strange ones - the key to knowing if they're ascension symptoms is partly intuition, and partly the out-of-placeness of them; the oddity. Do check with your doctor if you're not sure, though - I'd better say that!) This is literally the physical part of the ascension process, and yes, it sounds far out - it's taken me longer to get my head around this concept - but I do believe such a physical transformation is possible for reasons which I won't go into publicly as they're both personal and private. At this point (full-bodied evolution), you'll be in superhero territory, but for real rather than just reading about it or watching the impossible on film. This is the point where you fully encompass your star being heritage and remember that all those stories of Greek gods and giants and demi-gods and beings with otherworldly power, are true. This completes your ascension process. It's a little like "death" except instead of leaving your body, you'll be transforming it and taking it with you, thus becoming "homo luminous" and potentially ending the need for reincarnation. You are now a fifth dimensional being of the New Earth.
If you choose not to rise with the earth, and to continue on elsewhere in the third dimension, you won't be aware of the ascension process at all (because you have chosen not to focus your consciousness there), but you will still be aware of (likely drastic) changes around you in both third-dimensional earth (or earth replica) and in society, and you will apply your own third-dimensional logic as to how that happened and what's triggering it: climate change, war, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, hurricanes and flooding - I have no idea, these are examples off the top of my head. You will not be aware that others have evolved into the fifth dimension; just that they disappeared (if you are aware of them at all). This dissonance is possible because the rate of frequencies are so different on each plane that someone in the third dimension simply isn't aware of someone in the fifth, just like how right now, most people are not aware of the entities and spirits that live around them in other dimensions (fairies, angels and other star beings, those passed on, etc). In fact, you may even think you're the lucky ones on earth that are still hanging on and most others just haven't survived.
Having said that, some very brave few will choose to remain in the third dimension knowing about the ascension and having full ability to ascend, specifically in order to help those who cannot or will not ascend. Be nice to them - these will be your warrior heroes of light.
Inhabitants of the new third-dimensional earth will now go through another (26,000 year?) cycle where lessons will have to be learned again through the physical reincarnation process.
What happens from then on, on either dimension, I have no idea. We will all create as we go.
And there you have it - that's what the Earth Shift is. It's happening right now, already, person-by-person. At some point, there may be some kind of en-masse ascension - or pockets of time where many go at once - but I think for the most part, it will be like this: paced. I realise it sounds rather apocalyptic, but I really don't think it needs to be a frightening thing and certainly not the "end" (there is no end). Remember that the higher frequencies of fifth dimensional vibration are those of love, light, joy, truth, unity and peace. You cannot get there without already vibrating to that resonance, and if that's your resonance, you will not attract a painful transformation, but a peaceful, joyous one, whatever happens.
In conclusion: the ascension process is something every being on earth will be given a chance to go through - you will get a choice. If you are reading this, you are being made aware of the choice - this is it. To summarise, this choice allows you to ascend to a higher dimension (higher state of consciousness) so you don't have to reincarnate in the third dimension again. If you already know your choice is yes, you can start your ascension process right now, consciously. How? Go back to the part above I highlighted in pink, and start there. Implement the points I made anyway you like - start anywhere you feel comfortable - and most importantly, don't stress about it. The best gift you can give yourself and your soul is to have NO FEAR. Live in love and courage, follow joy with trust, practice peace and non-judgment, and you'll already have a toe dipped into the fifth. You'll be just fine. (I've added some more points that may help below.)
Over the past five years, grief has been a pressing matter within society - not just any grief, but collective grief. We have grieved celebrities, public figures and musicians who have suddenly passed away; we have grieved political changes that have brutally taken us unawares; we have grieved - are grieving - a change to our Mother Earth so intense that we have lost 60% of the world's wildlife since 1970. This will have a damning effect on us all, and some say we are in the midst of the sixth mass extinction, and this time, we humans are the cause. For anyone who is new to this concept, I will leave this article by Catherine Ingram here for you to read, but be warned: it is long, and it is bleak (though there is a slight perking up towards the end, if one can call it that). Whether you choose to take it on board or not is entirely up to you - it's a theory, after all.
Even if just a theory and not an actuality, I have been feeling this kind of sorrow for about eighteen years now - on and off at first, but consistently over the past five years. I feel a pressing need to address this grief because it is an indescribable, heavy sorrow that is not the same as that of losing a loved one (and I have lost loved ones). This sorrow runs much deeper because it spans lifetimes and cultures; it spans species, and civilisations. I know that I'm not the only one feeling this grief; I also know that many do not know how to face it; how to manage it and get on with life, when life is ... ending.
As I embark on my new projects, how to grieve Earth Extinction is going to be on the forefront of my mind. I would like to find a way to enable us to grieve as a collective and find comfort in that - this may involve workshops and events where we can meet up and talk it out, cry it out, and put in place positive ways in which we can move forward. It is a cause that's needed - it really is. I feel quite strongly about it. It could be months before I have something in place for this, but if you are feeling what I'm feeling, and are interested in the concept of collective grief for Earth Extinction - or collective grief for anything, like prominent societal changes - then drop me a line and let me know. We are a global world now, and I think there's a place for learning how to deal with, and manage, global grief.

Witch is a loaded word - the oppressive (and patriarchal) history of different cultures all have their part to play in that. Witch means different things in different countries, and in some, it still means torture and death for the one who holds that namesake (or the scapegoat who's labelled with it against their will). Therefore, "witch" still means to put yourself in the path of persecution by those who would benefit from your downfall.
It is not legal to be a witch in all countries. In the UK it is legal, but only since the repeal of The Witchcraft Act in 1951, before which time you could still be fined and imprisoned for displaying any type of connection with Spirit, whether healing, or divination.
So, first of all, this is what "witch" means to me:
Let's not forget how far we've come and how many (mainly women) have suffered at the hands of patriarchy, and let's not forget that in our forward-thinking, 21st Century world, the tide can turn in an instant. Anyone who thinks that's not possible only needs to look at what's going on in western society right now. Laws can be changed in the blink of eye on the tide of (often instigated) public opinion, leaving far too many people thinking it's all right for children - babies and toddlers - to be taken from their families (as just one example).
In 2019. Not 1951.
So, I use the word witch when I refer to myself, in part because we need to be mindful of the changes in society that seep in when we're not looking, trying to oppress us in the guise of "protection". It's a reminder to myself. And it's a reminder to anyone who finds my use of the word jarring. Good. Work on that. The witch has been in that place of oppression before. Let's do everything we can to make sure we don't go there again.
In terms of origins, there doesn't seem to be a set one for the word "witch". Look at the Online Etymology Dictionary for a reference; check out Power in the Name: The Origin and Meaning of the Word "Witch", by Michael Dilts for another.
To me, a witch is a:
